Position:Head of Retail and SME Business
The incumbent will be a senior professional leading to the Retail and SME businesses and help them turn into the champions. The position will be responsible for setting strategies for Retail and SME Business in order to support achievement of overall business strategy, in a cost effective and high return manner. The job holder will be involved in product development oversight aimed at sustaining the Bank’s competitive position within Retail Banking and SME Banking Segments.
Develop and lead the implementation of the Retail, SME, Agriculture & Emerging Business strategy in line with the overall banking strategy; to ensure achievement of profitability targets through revenue maximization;
Drive sustainable growth and acquisition of new customers for the Retail Banking as well as SME Banking through creation, development and maintenance of high quality advisory relationships;
Strengthen sales mechanisms and sales force management ;
Ensure strong cross- selling of existing and new products to existing and new clients; and in this process, maintain effective liaison with all relevant business units in the Bank;
Drive customer-led propositions by developing a pipeline of value adding customer solutions;
Build customer understanding through market research, introducing / strengthening customer segmentation and monitoring market development;
Maintains a detailed and current understanding of the industry (at Retail and SME Banking, current market structures; regulatory requirements and issues) to ensure that opportunities are realized by mitigating risks.
Should have post-graduation/MBA in Marketing/Business/Economics or related disciplines;
At least 15 years working experience in Retail Business, SME Business or Sales/similar areas of any reputed Bank/Financial Institutions with demonstrated business development responsibilities, preferable to hold the position of Head;
Must have hands on experience in Credit Analysis & Administration, Sales, Relationship Management, Customer Service, commercial and product development functions of a commercial bank at managerial level;
A thorough knowledge of SME and Retail Banking products and services, and extensive Banking Industry knowledge;
Excellent interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to network, generate new business and develop strong business relations.
